Ltd „Industrial Robotics Company“ develops advanced robotic solutions for industry

Together with the partners from “Kaunas University of Technology, Ltd “Industrial Robotic Company” is implementing the project “Development of Industrial Robot Systems Adapted for Small Series Furniture Production” since the 1st of August 2018. The main goal of the project is to create four unique robotic systems for small-scale furniture production.

Scientific research is carried out during the project to develop robotic systems for grinding, finishing, milling, and drilling furniture and its components, as well as packaging manufacturing for small series production, in a real-world setting. The research, which was begun by the Ltd “Industrial Robotics Company” and the “Kaunas University of Technology,” permits the design of systems that connect robots, mechanize and automate assemblies, specify tools, and control solutions for specific jobs. The innovative solutions being developed will increase the efficiency of the furniture industry, reduce production costs, increase product quality, optimize the production process, create a safer working environment and contribute to increasing the competitiveness of companies.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, and the support is provided under the measure for the implementation of Priority 1 of the European Union Funds Investment Operational Programme for 2014-2020 “Promotion of Research, Experimental Development and Innovation” No. J05-LVPA-K “Intellect. General Science – Business Projects”. The project budget – Eur 2 014 852,08. The funding allocated for the project – Eur 1 190 686,9.
